#405 — Adventures: Fantastic and Fascinating Finger Lakes

One of my favourite aspects of the Lens-Artists’ posts are the photos you share of your travels. Living vicariously is me. Your adventures appear exciting, and enlightening and exotic and breathtaking and transformative and enjoyable — all at the same time. I love the pictures and the narratives equally.

We have had very few such journeys, being quite limited by my health restrictions. Most of ours have been mini-vacations, three days/two nights, sandwiched between dialysis treatments. Our two favourite destinations were the Stratford Festival, and the Finger Lakes Region. One of my most cherished memories is of a waterfall chasing trek through the Finger Lakes. We had a lot of fun, I took a lot of shots, the waterfalls were spectacular and — though we’d visited the area many times, on that occasion we travelled a lot of roads that were new to us. That’s the adventure I chose to share for this challenge.

Thanks to Ann-Christine for devising such a wonderful challenge! Her images of an adventure in Greenland are nothing short of stunning. I hope you’ll take a few minutes to read her very interesting narrative and enjoy her pictures — you’ll be glad you did, promise:

’Til next time, y’lll…
