Good morning, everyone! Today, and next Tuesday, I am posting the Flower Hour prompt for Terri who is, I hope, kicking up her heels in Europe and having a grand time. In Terri’s words:
For the Flower Hour, share your images of flowers, gardens, fields of flowers, seasonal leaves and plants, fungus, algae, cacti, trees and tree blossoms, berries, and wildflowers. Bouquets and silk/faux flowers are welcome.*

Autumn’s Royal Robe
Purple asters wear a velvet crown,
Beside the goldenrod’s bright gown.
Together in the autumn breeze,
They rule the fields with royal ease.

Historically, purple and gold were reserved solely for monarchs — colours of absolute wealth, scarcity, and divine right. Here in Ontario, every autumn Mother Nature democratizes nobility, donning her finest coronation robes: The deep purple aster and the radiant goldenrod.

For this week’s Flower Hour, grab your cameras and step into the royal court! Please share your photographs of purple and gold flowers. Whilst you’re out shooting, keep an eye out for bees, wasps, hoverflies — all black and gold — they’re as busy as all get out at this time of year.

Also in Terri’s words:
Remember, there are no specific themes for the Flower Hour, but please use your own photography from your archives or new images. Your original images reimagined with AI tools in post-editing are also welcome. And you have all week to link to this post.*
’Til next time, y’all…
