This afternoon I was out playing with my camera in the laneway garden, trying to move my body up and down to get interesting angles on my shots. This is part of this week’s photo challenge which I’ve yet to complete. Today, ‘though, whilst experimenting — a very sweet interlude.
At the base of a particularly tall Zinnia in our dense patch, I caught some movement out of the corner of my eye. I bent down to investigate and, as Anne wrote, It depends on how difficult it would be to get up! For me, it’s very difficult and not very pretty! I was hoping like mad no one was watching my spectacle! But the reward was so worth it!
This wee chap was staring right back at me and, for all the world, he seemed to be asking, “Hey, human, whatcha lookin’ at?”.
A Curious, Candid Stare
I bent beneath the leaves to see,
A sudden guest who looked at me.
With camera raised and frozen stride,
I found him watching from his side;
Two quiet souls in midday sun,
Each wond’ring what the other’d done.

’Til next time, y’all…
