Of course, our cosy home and the friendly neighbours here at Mill Creek Townhomes make Kingsville feel homey for me.
But beyond those:

We are two of the luckiest ones; our balcony, patio and deck are all less than twenty feet from our patch of the Carolinian forest. All three shots were taken from our balcony:
- Community: A caring community that shows up for one another. The heart of our Kingsville community is our dedicated firefighters who bring smiles and holiday spirit, year after year, no matter how cold it gets.
- The comfort of old-fashioned, scratch-made baking served with kindness: Nothing says “homey” quite like the smell of fresh baking, especially when it is tied to an authentic, old-fashioned bakery like Fehr’s. Combining Cam’s first true love (butter tarts), the friendly Mennonite community running it, and all those comforting treats — cinnamon buns, cowboy cookies, and fruit pies — Fehr’s definitely helps make Kingsville feel homey.
- The peaceful lifestyle: The Chrysler Greenway is a connected series of quiet pathways winding through Kingsville, and beyond. There is something very comforting and inviting about having a trail like this right on our doorstep — whether you want a gentle stroll or a robust bike ride.
At the end of the day, the true beauty of small-town living is how easily it wraps you in comfort. From our protected green spaces to the familiar faces who show up for one another, life here moves at a pace that lets you slow down and appreciate what matters. It’s a peaceful, welcoming lifestyle that makes every single day feel like home.
