The Lens-Artists’ weekly challenges resumed this week with a wonderful prompt by Ann-Christine: “Adventure”. If someone were to ask you, What was your greatest adventure, could you answer definitively? I can, without a doubt. 100% — my marriage to Cam. Corny? Maybe. True? Absolutely! And our grand adventure began 42 years ago today.
When love beckons to you follow him,
though his ways are hard and steep.
And when his wings enfold you, yield to him…1
Forty-two years of life together is much like a patchwork quilt — bits and pieces of laughter, worry, quiet comforts, celebrations, achievements, teamwork, and resilience all stitched together with deep love and friendship. Through every season of change, our bond has only deepened, proving that true partnership is about growing together, weathering life’s storms as Team Perrault, and finding joy in the everyday moments.
Happy 42nd anniversary to Cam, my beloved partner in all things. Looking back over more than four decades, I can confidently say that building this life with you has been the grand adventure of my lifetime. Adventure isn’t about how far we’ve travelled; it’s about the incredible life, abiding love, and cosy home we build together every day.
